Notre verdict
We tested the Duo Crisp as both a pressure cooker and an air fryer over two weeks of daily use. The real magic is the combo workflow: pressure cook chicken thighs until tender, then swap to the air fryer lid to crisp the skin. That two-step process produced some of the best chicken we have made at home. As a standalone air fryer it falls slightly behind dedicated basket models on crispiness, but the sheer versatility of 11 cooking functions in one appliance makes it hard to beat for anyone who wants to minimize kitchen gadgets.
