You get the same 6 qt capacity and 1700W power as the standard Vortex for $20 less, and the slimmer profile actually fits better in tight kitchens. You give up the extra cooking modes of the Plus, but if air frying, roasting, baking, and reheating cover your needs, there is no reason to spend more.
