Tefal ActiFry Original FZ7128
We consider the ActiFry Original the product that started the healthy frying movement in France. After 15 years on the market, the FZ7128 still does one thing very well: it cooks 1 kg of fries with a single spoon of oil and stirs them automatically. We got golden, evenly cooked fries in about 35 minutes without touching the machine. The tradeoff is speed. Basket-style air fryers finish the same job in 18 to 22 minutes. If you value hands-off cooking and do not mind waiting a bit longer, this is a proven performer at 139 EUR.

SEB ActiFry Advance FZ7278
We found the Advance to be the best entry point if you want the ActiFry paddle system with guided cooking. The 9 programs adjust time and temperature automatically, and in our tests the poultry program produced well-cooked chicken pieces in about 30 minutes. The digital display is a clear upgrade over the basic timer on the Tefal models. For French buyers, the SEB brand also means access to a nationwide repair network. At 169 EUR, it is a fair price for the added convenience over the 139 EUR Tefal Original.

Tefal ActiFry Extra FZ7220
We see the FZ7220 Extra as a sensible upgrade if you already know you like the ActiFry paddle system but need more capacity. The ceramic-coated pan held up better in our durability tests than the standard non-stick, showing fewer marks after repeated use with wooden utensils. The 1.2 kg capacity means you can cook a full batch of fries for a family of four. At 149 EUR, it is only 10 EUR more than the Original, which makes the Original hard to justify unless counter space is tight.

SEB ActiFry Genius FZ7600
We think the Genius is for committed ActiFry fans who want recipe guidance on their phone. The My ActiFry app is genuinely useful when you are starting out. It walks you through ingredient quantities and timing for over 300 recipes. But the hardware is essentially the same as the 169 EUR Advance. In our tests, cooking performance was identical between the two. The 30 EUR premium buys you app integration. If you already know your way around an ActiFry, the Advance saves you money. If you want hand-holding and recipe inspiration, the Genius earns its price.

Tefal ActiFry 2-en-1 YV9601
We found the 2-en-1 solves a real problem: cooking fries and a protein at the same time without mixing flavors. In our test, we cooked 1 kg of fries on the bottom with the paddle and chicken drumsticks on the upper tray. Both were ready in about 40 minutes with no flavor transfer. The tradeoff is size. At 42 cm wide and 6.2 kg, this machine needs a dedicated spot on your counter. At 229 EUR, a Ninja dual-basket fryer gives you independent temperature zones for about the same price. But if you want the hands-off paddle system for a larger household, the 2-en-1 is the only option.
