Philips Airfryer Essential XL HD9270/90
We rate the Philips HD9270 as the best single-basket family air fryer on the French market at this price point. Les Numeriques gave it a perfect 5/5, and our tests confirmed that the 2000W Rapid Air system produces excellent results on everything from fries to chicken to vegetables. The 6.2L basket is the sweet spot for families of 3 to 4 who do not need dual baskets. At 130 EUR it is well priced against the competition. You could spend less on a Proscenic T21 and get WiFi, or spend more on the Philips NA530 for dual baskets, but if you want the best single-basket cooking quality for a family, the HD9270 is where we land.
Philips 3000 Series Airfryer NA342 7.2L
We see the NA342 as the right choice if you regularly cook for 5 or more people and want a single-basket design. The extra 1 L over the NA332 sounds modest, but in practice it meant we could fit a 1.5 kg chicken comfortably without the wings touching the heating element, which was tight in the 6.2 L model. The 2000W element made a measurable difference in our tests: fries reached the same crispiness about 2 minutes faster than in the NA332, and the higher wattage maintained temperature better when we loaded the basket with cold food. The window and 16 cooking functions are identical to the NA332. At 1799 kr, spend the extra 400 kr over the NA332 if you find yourself cooking for groups or doing batch prep for the week.
